Life with Manny and Mandy --- a website dedicated to the everyday routine of two everyday wooden mannequins. Use the "Next" link at the top right to begin at the start of the infrequently-updated one-off images. Use this link to begin with Chapter 1 of Manny and the BM Talk Forum, a series-in-progress telling a story that might be slightly familiar to most readers. 24 November 2010 An unforeseen attack of laziness has prevented me from completing chapter 7 of Manny and the BM Talk Forum. | Technical stuff: All the images so far were created using SmithMicro's Poser Pro and whatever freeby and
commercial props I had lurking on my hard-drive at the time. I could
give credits for everything but it would really take up too much space
and, seriously, does anyone actually enjoy reading image credits? I tried to keep the lighting, etc, consistent but I started to notice that the ground plane was mysteriously getting lighter with each successive image so drastic measures were taken and, starting from image 13 onwards, the ground is a lot darker. I think if I hadn't done that, by image 20 there would be nothing but a white screen with so much glare being generated. And around about image 44 or so, I overhauled much of mostly everything, trying not to upset the look too much but making things behind the scenes a little more technically nice. The original set-up was made when I was slightly less excellent than I am now, and it was about time I updated M&M with the new stuff I'd learned. I've used a Next/Prev method of navigation because it's easier. For me, that is. If you want to jump directly to a particular image, use your finger-typing skills to change the number in the address bar to the image you require. Or click repeatedly on "Next" if your typing-fingers are currently in for repair. |
